Role Overview

You’ll own end-to-end feature development: backend services, APIs, integrations, and customer-facing UI. Candidate must be self-driven, quality-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup, moving rapidly between codebases and product requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Flask/Python and microservices
• Build responsive web interfaces using React (or similar) and modern CSS frameworks
• Collaborate on data modeling, schema design and performance optimization (SQL and vector databases)
• Implement and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end)
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and pair programming
• Integrate with AI/ML inference endpoints and third-party telephony APIs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent
• 5+ years (8+ preferred) full-stack experience in a professional environment
• Strong proficiency in Python and React, Ubuntu O/S and multi-threaded programming
• Implementation experience developing highly scalable REST APIs and WebSockets
• A broad range of data engineering skills
• Use of and experience with AI tools that accelerate problem solving and time to market

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing massively scalable systems, most importantly: queuing technology and horizontal scalability in the cloud
• Experience using Lovable or Replit to build out interfaces quickly and easily
• Prior experience with AI engine APIs like Gemini, OpenAI, etc.
• Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish
• Prior experience working in a hi tech startup environment
